Hillsboro - Dwight Alan Foxworthy, 71, Hillsboro, passed away at his residence with his daughters by his side on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 4:23 a.m. following an illness with renal cell cancer.
Alan, as he was known to family and friends, was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on March 20, 1951. He was the son of the late George Corwin and Edith Ellen (Long) Foxworthy. He was a life resident of Hillsboro, graduating from Fountain Central High School in 1969. While attending Fountain Central High School he was a member of the Future Farmers of America. He was also a ten year member of the Fountain County 4-H program.
Alan farmed all of his life in the Cain, Jackson and Richland Townships. He was a strong supporter of the Fountain County 4-H program. Along with farming he enjoyed raising Black Angus cattle.
On June 7, 1970, Alan married Pamela Kay Kochell in Mellott, IN. Pam preceded Alan in death on December 30, 2013.
Alan leaves behind two daughters, Jennifer (Bryan) Hall, Crawfordsville and Melissa (Christopher) Ayers, Newtown; a brother, David (Kenna Jean) Foxworthy, Hillsboro and a sister Nancy (Macky) McDonald, Bunker Hill, IN; five grandchildren, Tristain (Amber) Hall, Crawfordsville; Corwyn (Hadyn) Hall, Muncie, IN; Baydin Hall, Crawfordsville; Wyatt and Chloe Ayers, both of Newtown.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro on Sunday, March 5th, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery, Waynetown, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the FFA (Future Farmers of America) at the Fountain Central High School.
