Attica - Alice Ann (Clark) Jeffries, 77, Attica, passed away in the Franciscan Health East Hospital, Lafayette, on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.
Alice was born in the Community Hospital in Williamsport, Indiana on August 6, 1946.  She was the daughter of the late Morris A. and Mary F. (Hidy) Clark.  Alice was a life resident of Attica, graduating from Attica High School in 1964.  She later attended Lakeview School of Nursing in Danville, IL and Ball State University, studying nursing.  For many years she enjoyed wintering in Stuart, Florida.
For many years Alice worked with her husband and son, as a bookkeeper for Jeffries Body Shop south of Attica.
She was a member of the Attica First United Methodist Church.  She was a  member of the Eagles Lodge # 2596 of Attica.  She was a member of the Fountain Lodge # 204 Order of the Eastern Star.  Alice enjoyed taking care of her pets, boating and most of all, spending time with her family.
On September 24, 1966, Alice married Michael "Mike" Jeffries in the Attica First United Methodist Church.
She leaves behind her husband, Mike of 57 years along with a son, Clark (Terri) Jeffries, Attica; a grandson, Caiden Jeffries, a soon-to-be sophomore at Wabash College; two step grandchildren, Courtney Hurt and Erica Veasey; several step great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carol Buckley, West Lebanon and Mary (Rocky) Jolley, Potomac, IL.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Linda Rader.
As per Alice's request, a private family gathering and service will be held at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica with burial in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Paw's 'n Claws Animal Shelter.
