Danville, IL - Angelika Helga Erica (Rudolph-Cain) Jones, 67, of Danville, IL, passed away in the I.U.-Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 9:40 a.m.
Angelika was born in Leoben District of Vordernbergerstasse, Germany on March 24, 1959. She was adopted by her US parents, Orloe Orsiner and Emma Flora (Stolle) Cain. She lived in Peru, IN, graduating from Peru High School in 1977. On March 26, 1974, Angelika became a naturalized citizen of the United States in a ceremony in South Bend District Court. 

Following graduation from high school, Angelika entered the United States Air Force and served as an Airman First Class. She was honorably discharged June 6, 1980. Following her military discharge, Angelika traveled around the United States, locating in Texas and later in Cayuga, IN and more recently Danville, IL.

 She leaves behind a sister-in-law, Betty Washburn, of Alabama; two nieces, Joy (Paul) Orton and Anita (Scotty) Thompson, both of Texas; family friends, Sasha (Harley) Williams and their four children, Danville, IL; Chad Weaver and his children along with Sheryl Dewey and her children, both of Peru, IN. She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents and a brother, James Bryant Washburn.

 Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Friday, September 18th, from 3:00 p.m. until the memorial service at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Josh Barnett officiating. Inurnment, with military honors, will be held at a later date in the V.A. National Cemetery, Danville, IL.
