Covington - April "Chips" Dawn (Julian) Bracknell, 57, Covington, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at 8:05 a.m. in the Williamsport Health & Rehabilitation Center.
April was born in the St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, IL on June 7, 1962. She was the daughter of the late Billy Wayne and Connie Jean (Ping) Julian. She was a life resident of Covington, graduating from Covington High School in 1980. She later received an Associates Degree from Danville Area Community College in Data Processing.
She had worked at McLane Midwest in Danville in data processing until 2001.
She was a member of the Covington First Assembly of God Church. She loved God with all her heart. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking, crocheting, fishing, making crafts, sitting on her front porch drinking her sweet tea reading her devotions. She was the best mammaw and mother anyone could ask for.
She was first married on August 1, 1981 to Mark A. Keele. She later married Shawn Bracknell in November of 2005 at the Maranatha Baptist Church in Covington. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2014.
She leaves behind her three children, Tyler (Cindy) Keele, Tanesa Keele and Trey Keele, all of Covington; two special and beautiful grandsons, Bryson Jeffrey and Benjamin Keele; an aunt, Wanda Hayden, Covington; an uncle, Bob (Dale) Julian, Bloomington, IN; several cousins. She will be loved and missed dearly by her two best friends, Rickie Keele and Debbie Wallen and everyone whose life she had touched in her own way. She was preceded in death by a special cousin, Tim Daniels.
Visitation will be held at the First Assembly of God Church, 421 Market St., Covington on Wednesday, July 10th, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Services will be in the church on Thursday, July 11th, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Zack Messick officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for expenses.
