Attica - Barbara Marie (Busic) Hutson, 80, Attica, passed away due to natural causes at the home of her son, Thad Hutson, Whitestown, IN on Friday, January 24, 2025.
Barbara was born in Pueblo, Colorado on June 22, 1944.  She was the daughter of the late John Kemper and Virginia Lee (Hatton) Busic.  Barbara was a life resident of Attica, graduating from Attica High School in 1962.
Barbara began working at Radio Material Corp. in Attica, following graduation.  She later began babysitting for local families in the area until she started working at the Attica Grade School in the cafeteria.  From the cafeteria she transitioned to become an educational instructional assistant for the Attica Grade School from 1982 until her retirement in the late 1990's.
Barbara was a member of the Attica Christian Church.  She was an active member of the Tri Kappa Sorority in Attica.  She was active in the community working in the Methodist Church Thrift Store.  She was a member of the Retired Teacher's Association.  She enjoyed playing dominos on Tuesday and Euchre on Thursday nights, and Bunco with the local club. She enjoyed visiting with fellow Rambler alumni regularly to catch up on what was happening in her classmates' lives.  She was a member of the Red Hat Society in Attica and enjoyed fellowship with her local girlfriends and traveling partners, Jo Pugh, Mary Winkler, Carolyn Carlson and Connie Foster.  She also enjoyed her aquatic friends with Nonnie Garriott and others.
On February 25, 1967, Barbara married Wilbur "Webb" Ray Hutson in Attica. Wilbur preceded her in death on February 29, 2016.
Barbara leaves behind a son, Thad (Jennifer) Hutson, Whitestown; three grandchildren, Arden V., Levi C. & Mary S. Hutson; a niece, Heather (Cris) Post, Somerset, PA.  She was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Hutson; a sister, Nancy Busic and a brother, Kemp Busic.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Friday, January 31st from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.  Services will be held in the Attica Christian Church, 411 E. Sycamore St. , Attica on Saturday, February 1st at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Hunter Chadwell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Attica Christian Church, Tri Kappa Sorority or the Attica Community Foundation.
