Attica - Barbara Jean (Sheets) Pritchard Turpin, 86, formerly of Attica and had been residing in Kingman, passed away in the Williamsport Health and Rehabilitation Center on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 5:30 a.m.
Barbara was born in Attica, Indiana on January 5, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Kermit Kenneth Sheets and Agnes Leonia (Burris) Allen. Barbara lived in Attica for several years and later moved to Kingman. Barbara attended Attica High School and had worked at Radio Material Corp. in Attica for several yeras.
She enjoyed playing bingo and card games. She liked to work crossword puzzles and her computer video games. She enjoyed sampling different types of wines at the wineries that she visited.
On October 1, 1977, Barbara married Oliver "Ollie" Turpin in Crawfordsville, IN. He preceded her in death on August 11, 1986.
She leaves behind her children, Chad (Brandy) Turpin, Veedersburg; Frank (Laura) Pritchard, Rossville, IN; Chris Red, Danville, IL and Peggy Lynn, Covington; two sisters, Connie Leake, Monon and Diane Sheets, Williamsport; 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Turpin; two granddaughters, Tara Turpin and McKensie Lynn; a brother, Kenneth Sheets and a sister, Marie Sowers.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Monday, January 24th, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
