Attica - Betty Lou (Aldridge) Haverkamp, 92, formerly of Attica and had been residing in Lafayette, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 4:20 a.m. in the St. Mary Healthcare Center in Lafayette.
Betty was born in Winthrop, in Warren County, Indiana on July 17, 1929. She was the daughter of the late John Samuel Aldridge and Lottie E. (Collins) Aldridge Clark. Betty grew up in Warren County and attended Williamsport High School.
She formerly worked in the Administration Department at Purdue University for several years.
Betty was a former member of the Attica First United Methodist Church.
Betty was first married to Denny Haverkamp in 1947 in Attica. She later married Raymond Poltridge in 1963 in Lafayette. She was preceded in death by both husbands.
She leaves behind a son, Richard L. (Judy) Haverkamp, Lafayette; a brother, Gene Aldridge, Attica and a sister, Mary Ann Keith, Cape Coral, FL; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert E. Haverkamp and two brothers, Homer and Frank Aldridge.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Friday, August 13th, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Badgley officiating.   Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to Paws 'n Claws Animal Shelter.
