Attica- Beverly "Bev" Rosa (Borst) Brown, 76, Attica, passed away in the Williamsport Health & Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 12:50 p.m.  The family wishes to thank the staff at the Williamsport Health & Rehabilitation Center and Guardian Angel Hospice fo their care of Beverly.
Bev was born on September 7, 1947 in the Community Hospital, Williamsport, Indiana.  She was the daughter of the late Louis Harvey and Hazel Jeanette (Babcock) Borst.
Bev married David Leroy Brown in the Attica First United Methodist Church on February 26, 1972.
Following her graduation from Attica High School in 1966, Bev attended Purdue University part time while working full time as an operator at the Indiana Bell Telephone Company.  In 1972, she became an engineering technical clerk for Ameritech, working in Crawfordsville. Starting in 1983, Bev also worked as a part time real estate agent at Zollars Realty.  She retired from AT&T in 1995.  In 1994, Bev had formed her own real estate agency, Brown Realty, and worked as principal broker, with her husband, David, as real estate sales agent.  In 2014, Bev and David retired.
Bev loved her hometown of Attica and was actively involved in many community organizations and local projects.  Throughout her life Bev attended the Attica First United Methodist Church.  She was a member of the Friends of the Attica Public Library and worked to save the E.M. Viquesney Doughboy Statue at the Attica Public Library as well as the Old Cannon at the Attica Riverside Cemetery.  In addition, Bev and her husband, David bought the disbanded First Church of Christ Scientist, to save it from being demolished.  Bev and David later sold the church to designer, John Cottrell, who renamed the church "the Old Church" and it became part of the Cottrell Village.
Bev enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She liked to travel, crochet, bake, care for her dog, Captain January and their cats, Pretty Kitty, Twinkle and Little Star.  Bev was generous, kind and cheerful.  Our family will forever cherish the wonderful memories of being with Bev.
Bev leaves behind her loving husband, David of 51 years.  Her brother, Lance Borst; her sisters, Brenda Hart, Betty Guerrero and Bella Daugherty; several nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by a sister, Bonita Borst and a brother, Louis Borst.
