Veedersburg - Brenda Lee Britton, 64, formerly of Veedersburg and had been residing in Signature Healthcare Parkwood, Lebanon, IN, passed away in the Signature Healthcare Parkwood on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at 3:00 a.m.
Brenda was born in Clinton, Indiana on May 5, 1960. She was the daughter of Lula Alice (Reed) Britton Bradbury of Covington and the late Marvin Ray Britton. Brenda was raised in rural Clinton and Veedersburg and attended Fountain Central High School.
Brenda worked as a waitress at various restaurants in Veedersburg. She later worked at Masterguard in Veedersburg and more recently worked as a CNA in Ben Hur Nursing Center in Crawfordsville and Williamsport Health & Rehabilitation Center in Williamsport.
Brenda served in the Indiana National Guard and saw active duty in the U. S. Army. At the time of her honorable discharge in 1986 she had attained the rank of Private First Class.
Brenda enjoyed playing bingo, euchre and working word search puzzles. She also enjoyed crocheting. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.
Brenda leaves behind her mother, Lula A. Bradbury, Covington; a daughter, Kasi (James Lee Grimes) Chapman, Covington; a sister, Marta Phelps, Covington; three brothers, William David (Ellie) Britton, Covington; Brian Keith (Linda) Britton, Covington and George Darroll Britton, Lafayette; a grandson, James Lukas Grimes, Covington; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Christopher Britton; a brother, Marvin Ray Britton, Jr.; her father, Marvin Britton and her step father, Ed Bradbury.
Visitation for Brenda will be held at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica on Saturday, November 23, from Noon until the service time of 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Joe Humrichous officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington.
