Veedersburg - Camilla Kay (Mitchell) Robinson, 84, of Veedersburg, passed away at her home on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 9:37 p.m. with family by her side.
Camilla was born in Veedersburg, Indiana, on April 23, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Doral and Delores (Ballah) Mitchell. She was a life long resident of Veederburg, and graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1959 where she participated in band, cheerleading and was selected to attend Girls State. She was as a dedicated and devoted housewife and mother who loved the Lord and devoted her life to her family. She also attended Danville Beauty School in Danville, Illinois where she received her license in Cosmetology. She was an active member of the Sterling Christian Church in Veederburg, Indiana and in her younger years, she enjoyed teaching Sunday school and helping with the Sterling Ladies Aide.
Throughout the years, Camilla also enjoyed antiquing, reading, sewing, crocheting, crafts, tole painting, flower arranging and working in the yard. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events and 4-H shows. She loved the ocean and enjoyed many family trips to Virginia Beach, VA Treasure Island/St.Petersburg, FL and Outer Banks, NC. She was a friend to many and loved her family and friends.
On October 5, 1958, Camilla married James M. "Jimmy" Robinson in the Veedersburg Methodist Church. They were married 54 ½ years before Jimmy's passing in 2013.
Camilla leaves behind her three children, Lisa (Jay) Allen, and James M. (Sandy) Robinson, both of Veedersburg; and Lesley Dause, Lexington, SC ; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren: Gabe (Kristen) Allen and their children Peyton Hocking, Hudson Allen, Landry Allen and Liam Allen; Zach (Sarah) Allen and their children Brooke Allen and Jack Allen; Luke Allen; Megan (JD) Berry and their children Cohen Berry and Kenleigh Berry; Mitchell (Gracie) Robinson, Chelsea (Ryan) West and their son Mackson; Rachel (Keaton) Holsinger. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Cassie (Frank) Hall and several nieces and nephews. Camilla was preceded in death by her husband and her parents as well as her brother, Mike Mitchell and a sister, Rhonda Mitchell.
Friends may call at the Sterling Christian Church, 701 S. Sterling Ave.,Veedersburg, on
Thursday, November 20th from 1:00 p.m. until the service time at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor  Gary Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery, Waynetown.
