Pine Village - Carla Ann (Calhoon) Hardesty, 69, Pine Village, passed away in the Franciscan Health East Hospital, Lafayette, on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 11:48 p.m. following her failing health from  Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
Carla was born in Lafayette, Indiana on June 21, 1955.  She was the daughter of the late Thomas Carr and Mary Ethel (Davenport) Calhoon.  Carla was raised in Lafayette and attended Lafayette Jefferson High School.  She has resided in Pine Village for over 30 years.
Carla worked at C & D Technologies in Attica for several years before her retirement from C & D.
Carla loved all sorts of animals.  She enjoyed raising, training and riding horses.  She loved her fury friends that she left behind.
Carla was formerly married to Larry Hardesty in Lafayette.
Carla leaves behind her ex-husband, Larry Hardesty of Lafayette; two children, April Hardesty of Pine Village and Steven Hardesty of Clarks Hill, IN; a brother, Michael D. (Deb) Calhoon, Lafayette; two grandchildren, Abbigal Hayden and Austin Hayden, Pine Village; several nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by a brother, James Calhoon and her parents.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Saturday, May 31st from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
