Carol Sue Morris, 83, of Attica, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 13, 2025 at her family farm.

Carol was born on December 1, 1941, to the late Roxford and Evelyn (Morgan) Oswalt in Lafayette Indiana. She grew up in Warren County and graduated from Pine Village High School in 1960. She furthered her education at Indiana Business College, preparing for a career as an administrative assistant. In 1962, Carol married Maurice P. Roberts, with whom she had three children who survive her: Larry (Elizabeth) Roberts of Fountaintown Indiana, Troy (Catherine) Roberts of Penrose Colorado, and Lori Roberts of Lafayette Indiana. Carol was a devoted mother who poured her heart into her family. She was also a proud grandmother of four and great-grandmother to three, all of whom she loved dearly. Carol is also survived by her brother, Charles (Barb) Oswalt of Attica Indiana, who remained a close and cherished part of her life.

During the early 1980s, Carol worked with her parents at Oswalt's Grocery Store in Independence. She later took a position at Purdue University as an administrative assistant before transitioning to Landis+Gyr, where she worked as a soldering technician.

Gardening was one of Carol's favorite hobbies; she spent many hours tending to her garden, bringing beauty to her home and those around her.

In 1977, Carol and Maurice divorced, and in 1981, she found love once again with Daniel Joseph Morris. The two shared many happy years together until Joe's passing in the fall of 2024.

Carol was a kind and nurturing soul—a mother who was always there when her family needed her most. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as all those whose lives she touched.

No funeral service is scheduled, but a memorial for Carol will be held at a later time on the family farm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society in Carol's memory.
