Attica - Carolyn R. (Dill) Pearl-Coffing, 86, formerly of Attica and had been residing in Fishers, IN, passed away at her home in Fishers, on Friday, May 13, 2022 after a five month battle with brain cancer.
Carolyn was born in Warren County, Indiana on April 13, 1936 to the late Russell B. and Marie (Adams) Dill. She was raised in Warren and Tippecanoe Counties and was a 1954 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School.
In 1954 Carolyn married Mearl G. Pearl and together they farmed in Fountain County as well as ran several independent businesses: a service station, corn shelling, hay bailing, seed corn sales, etc. Mearl was killed in a farming accident in February of 1973. Carolyn married Fred Coffing in July of 1981 and he preceded her in death in October 2012.
Carolyn was a former member of the Psi Iota Xi Sorority, Republican Women's Organization, Red Hat Society and United Methodist Women. She enjoyed her family, friends, playing in a variety of bridge clubs, attending social events and wintering in Florida.
Carolyn leaves behind her son, Mark (Victoria) Pearl, West Lafayette and Fishers, IN; her granddaughter, Kristin Pearl, Fort Wayne, IN; her grandson, Kyle (Taylor) Pearl, Fishers, IN; two great-grandsons, Jones and Sutton Pearl, Fishers, IN; her two sisters, Sheila (Steve) Hitzman and Debbie (Benny) Wyckoff, both of Antwerp, OH along with several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husbands, Carolyn was preceded in death by an infant child.
Friends will be received at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Wednesday, May 18th, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. with Robin Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to the Food Finders Food Bank of Greater Lafayette, IN.
