Few words could better describe the life of Charles Bradley Anderson, who passed away on August 17, 2026, deeply loved by his family. He lived his life faithfully, served others generously, and loved his family deeply.He was born on August 23, 1937, to Charles and Nora Anderson. In 1961, he married Janet Loft Anderson, and together they shared a long and wonderful marriage. They raised three children, Brad, Brian, and Chris, and their family grew to include Brian’s wife, Lisa, and Chris’s husband, John. Together, Charles and Janet built a life centered on faith, family, service, and helping others.He was a proud father and an extraordinarily proud grandfather to Gabe, Jack, Maggie, Matthew, and Madison. It was nearly impossible to have a conversation with him without hearing a fun fact or story about something one of his grandchildren had done that he thought was fantastic. Their lives and accomplishments brought him tremendous joy.A United Methodist minister for nearly 60 years, he walked alongside countless people through the many joys, sorrows, and changes of life. He and Janet were often among the first to step in when someone was struggling or needed a helping hand. He served on many community boards and gave generously of his time and wisdom throughout Williamsport and the surrounding communities.His grandchildren described him beautifully. He remembered everything—even the smallest details from many years ago. He knew so much about so many different things and remained a lifelong learner. He encouraged each of his grandchildren to continue learning and furthering their education, no matter how much they had already accomplished. He also had the very best stories from his childhood and always seemed to have one that connected perfectly with whatever was happening in the present day. He loved telling his stories, and his grandchildren loved hearing them.He will be remembered for his faith, his remarkable memory and curiosity, his devotion to his community, and above all, the deep pride and love he had for his family. His was truly a life of service, kindness, faithfulness, and love.“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7Services will be held Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the Attica-Williamsport Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 300 Main Street, Attica, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.
