Charles D. Head

Attica - Charles Dennis Head, 75, Attica, passed away at his home in Attica on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 8:56 p.m. with his family at his side.
Charles was born in Bremerton, Washington, on February 6, 1945. He was the son of Pearl (Ruby) Christopher of Lafayette and the late Marion J. Head. At the age of three, he moved to Lafayette. He has spent most of his life in the Lafayette area and the past several years has resided in Attica.
Charles formerly worked as an engineer for the Monon and L & N Railroad for 16 yeas. Following his retirement from the railroad, Charles worked in heating and air conditioning for several local companies and later was self-employed. For the past ten years his passion was repairing and restoring antique clocks for resale.
Charles has a strong faith in God and was a member of the Harvest Chapel Church in Williamsport. He enjoyed raising a vegetable garden, canning and cooking. His real joy in life was the time he spent with his family.
On December 7, 1963, Charles married Bernadette "Bunny" Klar in Lafayette.
He leaves behind his wife, "Bunny" of 57 years along with three children, Dennis Michael Head, Mellott; Belinda (Christian) Bothé, Loveland, OH and Shannon Head, Attica; a brother, Joe Head, Lake Mary, FL; a sister, Barbara Tafoya, Seymour, TN; two half-sisters, Janet Carter, Lafayette and Stella (James) Peterson, Lafayette; a step-sister, Pat (George) Brouwer, Lafayette; two step-brothers, Joe (Donna) Miller and Ralph (Patsy) Miller, both of Lafayette; Seven grandchildren, Stella Morland, Christopher Cuzzort, Christine Day, Noah Wayne Head, Lydia Bothé, C.J. Bothé and Cameron Bothé; a great-grandson, Austin Head along with 16 other great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Head; a step sister, Pam Myers; two half-sisters, Janeen Head and Annie Carter and two grandchildren, Jesse Head and Dustin McClure.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Monday, January 4th, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Greg Tyra officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica. All attendees are required to wear face masks and keep social distancing from family. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
