Hillsboro - Charles "Charlie" Melvin Reynolds, 77, Hillsboro, IN, passed away in his home on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 10:30 p.m. with his family by his side.
Charlie, as he was known to family and friends, was born in Williamsport, Indiana on March 7, 1949. He was the son of the late George M. and Phylis E. (Moore) Reynolds. Charlie was raised in Kramer, in Warren County, Indiana where he attended Seeger Memorial High School. He has resided for the past 54 years in Hillsboro.
Charlie worked as a forklift driver for R.R. Donnelley in Crawfordsville for 45 years until his retirement.
Charlie enjoyed woodworking and working on cars. He enjoyed the outdoors and liked to go camping. His favorite pastime was playing with his children and grandchildren.
On December 31, 1970, Charlie married Clara E. "Liz" Kirby in Kramer, IN.
He leaves behind his wife, Liz, of 55 years along with two children, Jeffrey L. Reynolds and Eileen Babb, both of Veedersburg; five grandchildren, Laurel and Alicia Reynolds; Macy (Dylan) Sly, Kendyl (Zane Fox) Babb and Marisa (Troy Bowling) Babb; seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Mullins.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro on Saturday, March 21st from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
