West Point
Attica - Christina M. McCoy, 60, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
Christina was born in Clinton, Indiana on August 9, 1964. She was the daughter of the late Frank R. McCoy and Marjorie D. (Lientz) Dill and the step-daughter of the late Max Dill.
Christy, as she was known to family and friends, was a avid Cincinnati Reds baseball fan since a young child. She collected lots of memorabilia over the years. She was also a lover of all music genre. She enjoyed a good funky beat from Michael Jackson to her all time favorite, Neal McCoy. She was by far one of his biggest fans. She loved to go see him live and do "The Shake".
In her younger years, Christy was a familiar face all over town. Everyone knew her, loved her and protected her. She loved to walk to the Corner Pub for a Pepsi and some good jokes. She always lit up the room. She enjoyed spending time with family and babysitting her nieces and nephews. She loved to play a good game of Uno or Yahtzee. She was quite the Yahtzee shark.
Christy spent years in a group home setting, meeting lots of new faces and spreading her joy. She always kept staff on their toes with her stubborn ways. Her last few years have been spent with family. She was our family's saving grace. She was dealt a difficult hand, but it never dulled her smile. Her strength was boundless. She always enjoyed the simple things in life.
Christy was preceded in death by her parents and step father along with two sisters, Lyndall Salts and Kathy Yoder. She leaves behind to cherish her memory by two sisters, Gloria McCoy and Marilynn (Mark) Taylor; her brother, Gordon McCoy; several nieces and nephews along with great nieces and great nephews.
