Newtown - Connie Sue (Cox) Strickler, 67, Newtown, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 8:08 a.m.
Connie was born in Williamsport, Indiana on Christmas Day, December 25, 1956.  She was the daughter of the late Robert Wesley and Betty Lou (Stembaugh) Cox.  She was raised and educated in Attica, living there most of her life.  For the past 14 years she has resided in Newtown.
Connie formerly worked for Lafayette Venetian Blind and later as a Pharmacist's Assistant in the CVS store in Attica.
Connie was baptized and a member of the Old Fashioned Baptist Church in Independence.  She enjoyed taking care of her plants and baking for family for special occasions or just any occasion.  She was a doting mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
On January 4, 1997, Connie married David Eugene Strickler in Williamsport.  She leaves behind her husband of 27 years along with six children, Paula (John) Olson, Newtown and Santos (Jordan) Fernandez, West Point; Chris Strickler, Dexter, MO; Craig (Joanna) Strickler, Dexter, MO; Shane (Lu Zhou) Strickler, Chicago, IL and Shannon Fritch, Dexter, MO; three siblings, Bob (Karen) Cox, Hillsboro; Bonnie Ricketts, Williamsport and Jimmy (Crystal) Cox, Pence, IN; 14 grandchildren, Hope, Faith, Charity, Bella & Ruby Olson; Alivia, Zebulun & Eli Fernandez; Christopher, Matthew & Amanda Strickler; Brandon & Scott Strickler; Makayla & Logan Fritch; four great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Helen & Harper Fernandez; four siblings, twins Carolyn Coffey & Marilyn Haymaker; Bill Cox and Barbara Cox.
A celebration of life service for Connie will be held at the Williamsport Senior Center, 306 Ross Avenue, Williamsport,  on Saturday, March 9th, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m..  It will be a carry in meal.
