Attica - Donald Glen Banta, 50, of Attica, died at 11:39 a.m. on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at his residence.

Donald was born on June 5, 1970 in Indianapolis. He was the son of David "Dave" Banta and Sandra (Freed) Buckley. He grew up in Attica and graduated from Attica High School in 1989. He went on to study Economics at Purdue University, graduating in 1993 and continued his education at Ohio Northern University in Ada, OH, graduating Law School in 1996. He practiced law in Indianapolis for over 20 years, working for the the State Attorney General's Office.

Donald liked to stay active and had earned his pilot's license as well as his captain's license. He loved to be flying or sailing, espcially on Lake Michigan, and spent many hours fishing.

Survivors include his parents, Dave Banta, Attica and Sandy Buckley, Lafayette; two daughters, Brooke Nicole Banta and Paige Marilyn Banta, both of Indianapolis; Brother, David Scott (Andrea) Banta, Indianapolis; and his ex-wife, Tricia Graham, Indianapolis.

Cremation will take place with no services. Contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
