Stone Bluff - Donald "Don" Eugene Harper, 83, of Stone Bluff, passed away peacefully at his home in Stone Bluff on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 8:25 a.m.
Don was born in Covington, Indiana on October 13, 1940.  He was the son of the late Elvin L. and Marie (Cunningham) Harper.  He has resided in Stone Bluff all of his life.  He was a 1959 graduate of Veedersburg High School.  He worked as a millwright for the Carpenters Union # 215 of Lafayette and worked on the Indiana State Highway Department for 13 years until his retirement.
Don was a member of the New Liberty Church in Veedersburg; was a 50 year  member of the Veedersburg Lodge # 491 F. & A.M., serving as Past Master; member of the Murat Shrine of Terre Haute; member of the Western Indiana Shrine Club; member of the Grotto of Danville, IL.  He enjoyed the outdoors where he loved to deer hunt and fish.
Don married Bobby Lou Million on September 30, 1994 in the New Liberty Christian Church in Veedersburg.  Bobby preceded him in death on April 23, 2011.
Don leaves behind a daughter, Judy (Tim) Nolen, Ashdown, AR; two grandsons, Jonathan and Matt Nolen.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Harper.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica on Tuesday, March 5th from 5:00 p.m. until the Masonic Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. with Veedersburg Lodge # 491 conducting the services.
