Romney - Donald Emerson Howard, 70, Attica, passed away at his home, following his brief illness, on Monday, July 20, 2026 at 7:32 a.m.
Donald was born in Williamsport, Indiana on December 12, 1955.  He was the son of the late Emerson and Mary Ellen (Waddle) Howard.  He was raised in Attica and attended Attica High School.  He has lived most of his adult life in West Point before moving to Romney five years ago.
Donald formerly worked at Twin City Collision Repair in Lafayette and more recently at Prime Auto Body Repair in Crawfordsville.
Being part of the Howard family he enjoyed fishing and boating on the Wabash River.  He was brought up on the river and fishing and boating were in his blood.  He also enjoyed working in his garden.
Donald leaves behind three children, Angel (companion-Chris Kempen) Wang, Romney; Jaime Howard, Lafayette and Stacey (Patrick) Lucas, West Lafayette; his companion, Sandy Dobbels, Kramer; five grandchildren, Jacobi and Tyler (Keli) Rater, both of Romney; Aryel, Tyrel and Jaxton; four great-grandchildren, Karson, Waylon, Daisy and Nadalee Rater; a brother, James Howard.  His pet dog, Rocket; He was preceded in death by a sister, Tina Howard and a brother, Randall Howard along with his parents.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica on Friday, July 24th from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Badgley and family members speaking.  Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
