Attica - Donald Eugene Roach, 78, Attica, passed away in the Ascension St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital, on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at 1:10 a.m.
Donald was born in Williamsport, Indiana on August 19, 1947.  He was the son of the late Samuel Jack and Frances Vivian (Minnick) Roach.  He was a life resident of Attica, attending Attica High School.  Donald later entered the U.S. Army and served in Germany during the Vietnam War.  At the time of his honorable discharge in 1968 he attained the rank of Specialist 4(T).
Donald worked at Rostone in Lafayette for 16 years as a head finisher.  He retired in 2002.
Donald enjoyed watching butterflies and birds.  In his early years he enjoyed riding his motorcycle.  He loved and missed his St. Bernard dog, Bear.  He was an avid fan of  I.U. basketball and Indianapolis Colts.  In his early years he enjoyed playing baseball with his brothers and was always up for a pickup game of basketball.  He enjoyed classic cars and working on model cars and working crossword and jig saw puzzles.
Donald was first married to Debbie Johnson in 1971.  He later married Rosemary Elkins.
Donald leaves behind his three brothers, Jack Roach, Lafayette; David and Richard (Lisa Keys) Roach, both of Attica; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews and great great-nieces and nephews.  His care giver  and best friend for the past four years, Dawn Stwalley, Attica.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Thursday, December 4th from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Scroggins officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, in Attica.
