Attica - Donna Lee (Jones) Price, 92, Attica, passed to be with her Lord and Savior in the Waters of Covington, on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 1:21 p.m.
Donna was born in Vigo County, Indiana on July 17, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Lee and Laura (Cox) Jones. She was raised in Universal, IN with many fun loving siblings.
She married Lester Price on March 11, 1966 in Vermillion County, IN. Lester preceded her in death on May 31, 2005 after 39 wonderful years of marriage.
Donna formerly worked at Quaker Maid (now Atlantic-Pacific Tea Company) in Terre Haute for 22 years; R & M Pillow Company in Attica for 7 years; Radio Material Corp. in Attica for 12 years and Americana Nursing Center, Lafayette for 4 years. Donna retired in 1995.
Donna was an avid homemaker, gardener and cook. Her pies were purchased often by all that knew her. She was a life long member of the Assembly of God Church in Attica. She helped with thousands of quilts and as many fund raisers.
Donna leaves behind two children, Marilyn (Harold) Black, Attica and Tracy Irwin, Millington, TN; two siblings, Mike (the late-Sandy) Jones, Stamford, CT and Sharon (Fred) Causey, Vicksburg, MS; a special caregiver, Cynthia (Al) Southard, Hillsdale, IN; five grandchildren, Terry L. Hutson, Tom Hutson, Angie Spivey, Melissa Irwin and Michelle Irwin; several great-grandchildren; several great great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Doyle Jones, Roger "Corky" Jones and Robert "Bob" Jones along with sisters, Delores (Joe) Carrel, Joanne Gosnell and Carol (Charles) Smith.
Donna was loved by all and will be missed by all. Donna's family would like to thank those at the nursing homes who made her final years as pleasant and productive as possible.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Tuesday, April 13th, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Kurt Lange officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery, east of Attica.
