State Line - Doris Marie (Tabor) Hall Collins, 85, State Line, IN, passed away at her home on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 5:05 p.m.
Doris was born in Delavan, Illinois on January 20, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Corbet and Opal (Spracklin) Tabor. She formerly lived in Bloomington, IL and has spent most of her life in State Line in Warren County, Indiana. She attended State Line School.
Doris was a self employed beautician, operating a beauty shop in Covington and more recently at her home in State Line. She also worked as a bus driver for the Danville, Illinois school system.
Doris was a member of the West Lebanon Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed mushroom hunting and fishing. She also enjoyed spending time sewing.
Doris was first married on November 6, 1954 in Bloomington, IL to Harold Hall. Harold preceded Doris in death on December 13, 2000. Doris later married Elmer Collins in 2001 in the West Lebanon Church of the Nazarene. Elmer preceded her in death in 2006.
Doris leaves behind her daughter, Lois (Tim) Fellure, Williamsport and a son, David (Becky) Hall, State Line; four sisters, Esther Williams and Joyce Varboncoeur, both of Arizona; Linda Schrader, Wisconsin and Wanda Galey, Danville, IL; six grandchildren, Wayne Hall, Ashley (Nick) Cardwell, Sarah (Luke) Cope, Casey Hall, Chance Hall and Natalie Hall; four great-grandchildren, Chloe Cardwell, Tyler Hall, Kevin Hall and Isabelle Hall. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Hall; three brothers, Paul Tabor, Gary Tabor and an infant brother; two sisters, Geneva Mau and Carol Davis; a grandson, Shaun Hall and a great-granddaughter, Cadie Cardwell.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Sunday, February 6th from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, February 7th, at 11:00 a.m. with Sam Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park, Danville, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for expenses.
