Attica - Doris "Mouse" Roysdon, 75, Attica, went to his heavenly home on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 4:25 p.m.
Mouse, as he was known to family and friends, was born in Jamestown, Tennessee on April 6, 1945. He was the son of the late James Henry and Dicie (Waters) Roysdon. Mouse was raised and educated in Stearns, Kentucky. He moved to Attica in 1965.
Mouse formerly worked as a finisher at Harrison Steel Castings Company in Attica, retiring in 1999. He worked at Harrison Steel for 33 years before his retirement.
Mouse attended the Attica Christian Church. He was a former member of he Moose Lodge # 1482 of Attica. Mouse never met a stranger and if he did they weren't for long. He enjoyed the outdoors and traveling the roads less traveled with the love of his life, his wife Lillie. He loved spending time with his family and building projects in his garage. He was extremely proud of his family, frequently visiting and calling them. Mouse led a wonderful life and will be dearly missed by all whom had the pleasure of befriending and conversing with him.
On May 16, 1963, Mouse married Lillie Jones in Whitley City, KY.
He leaves behind his wife, Lillie of nearly 58 years along with five children, Tom Roysdon, Kathy (Steve) Gibson, Kenny (Kelly) Roysdon and Sandra (Kevin) Hanson, all of Attica; William (Mary) Roysdon, Williamsport; four brothers, Jake (Katy) Roysdon, Chillicothe, TX; Harold Roysdon, Abilene, TX; Darrell (Ruth) Roysdon, Albany, TX and Lynn (Yovnne) Roysdon, Silsbee, TX; thirteen grandchildren, Amanda Leonard, T.J. Roysdon, Trista Francis, Ashley (Teddy) Cooper, Christopher (Kendra) Hanson, Nicholas (Elizabeth) Roysdon, Christopher Andreassen, Katie Andreassen, Nicole Roysdon, Alexander Hanson, Sophia Roysdon, Matthew Taylor and Hannah Taylor; eight great-grandchildren; one soon-to-be great great-grandchild along with many extended family.   He was preceded in death by five brothers, James Henry Jr., Linville, Ronnie, Roger and Stanley along with two sisters, Dorothy Aldridge and Sheila Roysdon.
Friends may call at the Attica Christian Church, 411 E. Sycamore St., Attica, on Friday, March 19th, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastors Hunter Chadwell and Joel Whitehead officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society. Face masks and social distancing will be encouraged.
