Attica - Dorothy June (Clark) Purcell, 82, of Kramer, passed away in her home, with her family by her side, on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 3:45 a.m.
Dorothy was born in Danville, Illinois on January 27, 1943.  She was the daughter of the late Glen and Ruth (Weaver) Clark.  Dorothy was raised and educated in Covington.
On April 18, 1958, Dorothy married Tommie C.J. Purcell in Covington, IN.  Dorothy and Tommie later moved to Independence and started Purcell's New & Used Auto Parts Company.  In 1974 Dorothy and Tommie moved their business and relocated their residence to Kramer.  Tommie preceded Dorothy in death on September 16, 2012.
Dorothy enjoyed the outdoors where she liked to mushroom in the spring.  She enjoyed her time by her pool and her family.  She and the family enjoyed the time spent camping at Sugar Mill Campground near Hillsboro.  In her early years she enjoyed raising and riding horses.  The family was very important to Dorothy and she enjoyed attending the grandchildren's activities and being with her family.
She leaves behind three children, Tommie Purcell, Knoxville, TN; Timothy Purcell, Kramer and Pennie (Craig) Coffing, Attica; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren and a great great-grandson.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Louise Purcell and two brothers, Bill and Robert Clark.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Thursday, June 26th, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.  Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 27th, at 11:00 a.m. with Brother James Elrod officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington.
