Attica - Elizabeth Jane (Smith) Osborn, 86, Attica, passed away at Autumn Trace Senior Living in Attica on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 6:52 a.m.
Jane, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Attica, Indiana on August 10, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Roy K. and Violet Lucille (Lilly) Smith. Jane was raised in Attica and Kramer. She attended Pine Village School. She later moved to Mellott, living there for 35 years until moving to Williamsport in 2004. She has been a resident of Autumn Trace since 2018.
Jane formerly worked in custodial services at Elliott Hall of Music on the Purdue Campus for 20 years. She retired from Purdue in 2007.
Jane was a member of the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed traveling with the church on various outings. She enjoyed the time spent at the Covered Bridge Festival in Rockville and attending local Flea Markets in the area. Her greatest joy was the time spent with her family.
On November 7, 1953, Jane married Fay Marshall Gene Osborn in Kramer, IN. Marshall preceded her in death on July 18, 2003.
Jane leaves behind a son, Timothy Alan Osborn, McHenry, IL; a daughter, Linda Osborn, Lafayette; a brother, Kenneth Smith, Coweta, OK; a sister, Gloria (Jack) Jacks, Albuquerque, NM; three grandchildren, Kristina Sue Luff, Kendra Dawn Taylor and Kyle Gene Osborn; seven great-grandchildren, Julia, Dalton, Collin, Levi, Sabrina, Duane and Keira. Jane was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Mike and Kenny Osborn; two sisters, Manitoba Neal and Joan Jacks along with three brothers, Charles R., Jim and Roy Smith.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Saturday, March 12th, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Greg McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene , 453 S. State Road 341, Hillsboro, IN 47949.
