Attica - Frank "Tub" Pearl Jr., 98, of rural Attica, passed away in the Franciscan Health East Hospital, Lafayette, on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 10:11 a.m. with his wife of 76 years by his side.
Frank, or "Tub" as he was known to family and friends, was born at home in Davis Township, in Fountain County, Indiana on June 1, 1925.  He was the son of the late Frank and Jenny (Alenduff) Pearl.  He was a life resident of rural Attica, where he farmed in Fountain and Tippecanoe Counties.  He attended Attica High School and later entered the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged after the end of WW II.
Frank was a member and Golden Eagle of the Eagles Lodge # 347 in Lafayette.  He was a member of the American Legion Post # 52 of Attica.  In his pastime, Frank enjoyed dancing.  He even shared his passion of dancing by teaching his nieces and nephews to dance.  Farming was still central in his heart.  He enjoyed his collection of Cadillac cars and his 1983 Daytona Trans-Am car.  He especially enjoyed the time spent with his family, which consisted of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews and great great-nieces and great great nephews.
Following his service in the Army, Frank was introduced to Betty Lou Osborne and they were married in Covington, IN on April 16, 1948.
Frank leaves behind his wife, Betty of 76 years along with his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Floyd Pearl, along with his sister, Elma Carlson.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Wednesday, May 1st from 12:00 p.m. until the service time at 2:00 p.m. with his great- nephew, Mark Pearl, speaking.  Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery, east of Attica.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
