Williamsport - Fredrick "Fred" Lee Roarks, Jr., 60, Williamsport, passed away in the Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 4:08 a.m.
Fred, as he was known to family and friends, was born on March 21, 1966 in the Community Hospital, Williamsport, IN.  He was the son of Amelia Vida (Sowers) Roarks, Attica and the late Fredrick Lee Roarks Sr.
Fred was a life resident of Warren County, where he attended Seeger Memorial High School.
Fred went on to work building garages for Tru-Built Garages in West Lebanon and later worked as a machinist for TMF in Williamsport where he retired due to ill health.
Fred was a family oriented father, doting over his wife, children and especially his grandchildren.  He was very protective of his grandchildren, especially his granddaughters.  He enjoyed the time spent with them and watching them in their sporting events.  He cherished the time spent going on vacations with his oldest son's family.  He loved his fur baby, the rottweiler, "Brody".
He enjoyed the outdoors where he loved to camp and fish.  He was a big sports fan, rooting on his favorite baseball team, the San Francisco Giants or his favorite football team, the San Francisco 49'ers.  He was a NASCAR fan with Rusty Wallace as his favorite driver.  He was a very dependable and reliable father.  If family or friends needed something, Fred was willing to help.  He loved going out with the family to breakfast and helping them with family projects.  He missed his favorite car, the Ford Mustang that he had to give up as a young man.
As his health declined, the family would like to take this time to thank his cardio-nurse, Carly Wenzel and his physical therapist, Sarah Mitchell, for their support and care in Fred's latter days.
On October 21, 1984 Fred married Dorothea Mae Rice in the Attica Church of the Nazarene.
Fred leaves behind his wife, Dorothea of nearly 42 years along with his mother, Amelia Roarks, Attica; a daughter, Amanda (Keith) Irwin, Attica; three sons, Fletcher Roarks, West Lebanon; Phillip (Rachel) Roarks, Williamsport and Justin (Emily) Roarks, Georgetown, IL; a brother, Raymond (Dorinda) Roarks, Oxford; five sisters, Virginia Wilkinson, Pine Village; Gail Roarks, Florida; Lucy (Joe) Perkins, Oxford; Danielle (Kenny) Woodruff, Attica and Kimmy Ann (Christopher) Stanifer, Lafayette; nine grandchildren, Lillian, Mason and Dalton Irwin; Everett Plunkett; Claire, Theron, Austin, Oliver and Ivory Roarks.  He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Lee Roarks Sr. and a sister, Augusta "Rene" Golding.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Wednesday, June 3rd from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor David Adams officiating.  Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
