Lafayette - Garnet Pauline Stetler, 77, of Lafayette, earned her wings on June 23, 2026, surrounded by loving family and friends.
Pauline, as she was known to friends and family, was born to Andrew "Willie" Hoover and Immo "Virginia" Davis on December 30, 1948. One of four siblings, Pauline grew up in Veedersburg and was in the first graduating class of Fountain Central High School in 1966. She met the love of her life, Gary Stetler, while working as a cashier at IGA grocery store in Attica. They married on June 25, 1967 at the Attica Christian Church. She will be dearly missed by her husband, Gary, as well as their two children Kevin (Joy) Stetler and Chantel (Wayne) Lehr. Her life was also blessed by her grandchildren Blake, Lyndsay, Emmett, and Zachariah.
Pauline knew no stranger—human or animal. She was known for her incredible shoulder rubs, insatiable appetite for sweets, and constant worry over the amount of gas in your fuel tank. More importantly, she will be remembered for her selflessness, unconditional love, and infectious kindness. Whether it be through country line dancing or playing Mrs. Claus for the kids, Pauline never stopped finding a way to make the world a brighter place. She continues to live through the countless lives she touched.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Monday, June 29th from 11:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Collins officiating and family sharing memories.  Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or WoodHaven Rescue Farm.
