Attica - Gary Alan Jones, 58, formerly of Attica, passed away in the Franciscan Health Michigan City Hospital, Michigan City, IN on Friday, January 23, 2026.
Gary was born in the St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, on June23, 1967.  He was the son of Karen Sue (Nowicki) Jones and the late John Thomas "Tom" Jones of Attica.  Gary was raised in Attica, graduating from Attica High School in 1986.  He entered the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. After his honorable discharge from the service, he moved back to
Attica and began working at Harrison Steel Castings Company and later TMF in Williamsport.
Gary was an avid outdoors man where he like to hunt and fish.  He also enjoyed raising coon dogs for hunting. He was an avid University of Kentucky sports fan.
Gary leaves behind his daughter, Savannah (Fred) Walker, Lafayette; a granddaughter, Gracelyn Walker, Lafayette; his mother, Karen Jones, Attica; two brothers, David (April) Jones, Attica and Bobby Jones, Kingman; a sister Peggy Mitton, Brazil, IN; several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a son, Gunnar Jones and his father, Tom Jones.
A memorial gravesite service will be held in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica, on Friday, February 27th, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Badgley officiating.
