Attica - George Ray Nolan, 83, Attica, passed away in the Williamsport Health & Rehabilitation Center on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 6:25 a.m. with his wife, Judy by his side.
George was born in Williamsport, Indiana on July 12, 1941. He was the son of the late George C. and Grace (Beech) Nolan. George was a life resident of Attica, graduating from Attica High School in 1959.
George was a long time car salesman in Attica, first working at Barker Motors in Attica in 1959 and later transferring to Pritscher-Scott Dealership in Attica. He later retired from Bryant's Car Dealership in 2011 after working as a car salesman for over 52 years in Attica.
George had attended the Attica Christian Church. When he wasn't working, George enjoyed fishing. He was an IU sports fan and enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports. George, knew no strangers and enjoyed visiting with people. His greatest love beside his family was selling cars.
On May 29, 1965 George married Judy P. Church in the Baptist Church in Attica.
George leaves behind his wife, Judy, of soon to be 60 years. He also leaves behind his two children, Shanna (Liana Coutts) Nolan, Bexley, OH and Mike (Melissa) Nolan, Lafayette; three grandchildren, Evan Michael (Cami) Nolan, Battle Ground, IN; Mason Shane (Miah Moore) Nolan, Lafayette and Solan Ariel Coutts, Bexley, OH; Two great-grandchildren, Nash Michael Nolan and Chesney Kay Nolan; a nephew, Bryan Lanham, Attica and a niece, Missy Lanham, Attica. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Saturday, January 25th, from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Moran officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
