Attica - Gerald "Jerry" Earl McClure, 74, Attica, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.
Jerry, as he was known to family and friends, was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on December 8, 1949.  He was the son of the late Harry and Mary (Mickleson) McClure.  Jerry was raised and educated in Pine Village.  He formerly worked at Rostone in Lafayette and later moved to Whitmore Lake, Michigan and worked as a general manager for Ball Brass Foundry in Ann Arbor, MI.  He has resided in Attica since 2004.
Jerry enjoyed the outdoors where he liked to fish, hunt, do chainsaw carving, woodworking, flower gardening and bird watching.  He also enjoyed glass blowing.
Jerry married Patricia J. Edward on February 14, 1992 in Attica.  Patricia preceded him in death on November 7, 2021.
Jerry leaves behind three children, Diana (fiancé-Clint Adams) Flickinger, Clarks Hill; Maria (Don) Bannon, Attica and Judston (Stephanie) McClure, Otterbein; two brothers, Richard "Dick" (Patty) Brown and Michael (Missy) McClure, Pine Village; a sister, Bobbie Brown, Lafayette; nine grandchildren, Stormie Flickinger, Heather Myers, Travis (Sara) Brown, Colton Brown, Drew McClure, Dakota McClure, Shelby Lowe and Raymond Lowe; two great-grandchildren, Anastasia McClure and Daxton, McClure.  He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amity McClure.
As per Jerry's wishes there will be no public services.
