Attica - Gerold "Jerry" L. Riley, 64, Attica, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 6:40 p.m.
Jerry, as he was known to family and friends, was born in Lafayette, Indiana on May 31, 1955. He was the son of the late Alva Lee and Florence Marie (Leduc) Riley. He was raised in the Independence area of Warren County and attended Pine Village High School. After school, Jerry moved to Phoenix, AZ and lived for several years until moving back to Attica in 1991.
Jerry formerly worked at Myers Steel in Attica later as a core maker and foreman for Harrison Steel Castings Company. He worked at Harrison Steel until his retirement in 2016. He was a stay-at-home type of person and enjoyed spending time with his family.
On June 12, 1975, Jerry married Deborah "Debbie" Jean Carter in Phoenix, AZ. She preceded him in death on April 26, 2017.
Jerry leaves behind a daughter, Kristina (Bret) Riley Rasmussen, Williamsport and a son, Jerry (Beth) Riley, Sparta, MO; five brothers, Steve (Terry) Riley, Lafayette; Art Riley, Eugene, OR; Al (Sandy) Musser, Stone Bluff; Ken (Mike) Riley, Norman, OK and Greg (Carol) Riley, Phoenix, AZ; five sisters, Marie Herman, Searcy, AR; Linda (Marty) Cowie, Phoenix, AZ; Jerry's twin, Sheryl (Larry) Ratliff, Phoenix, AZ; Kathy (Johnny) Casisco, Phoenix, AZ; Virginia (Martin) Smith, Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren, Brayden Rothrock, Liberty Rothrock, Korrigan Rasmussen, Landen Riley and Timothy Riley; his mother-in-law, Delores E. Young, Attica.   He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Margo Bannon, Florence Anders and an infant Sharon Riley; three brothers, Phil, Lee and Butch Riley.
A private family gravesite service will be held in the Cold Springs Cemetery, north of Veedersburg.
