Newtown - Glen Allen Black, 58, Newtown, passed away at his home, with his family at his side, on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at 6:30 p.m.
Glen was born in Peoria, Illinois, on June 24, 1962. He was the son of the late James G. and Margaret L. (Stone) Black. He was raised in Middlefork and Frankfort, Indiana, graduating from Clinton Central High School in 1980. After graduation, Glen entered the US Army and at the time of his honorable discharge had attained the rank of Private Second Class.
Glen was a machinist and first worked at Fairfield Manufacturing. He was presently working at Caterpillar in Lafayette until his illness.
In his pastime Glen enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle. He was a member of ABATE and took part in the Boogie. He enjoyed camping, canoeing and golfing. He loved to party with his friends.
On May 28, 1988, Glen married Susan (Mosson) Black. They had a daughter, Kendal. Following their divorce he later married S. Ann Lucas on November 8, 1997 in Williamsport. They had three daughters and later divorced.
Glen leaves behind his former wife, S. Ann (Lucas) Howard Black (companion - Shane Bell) of Newtown; daughters, Kendal (Eric) Post, Brookston; Lexy Black and Shaely Howard (companion-Thomas Bradley), both at home; Sharisa Howard (companion-Daniel Hart) Georgia; two sisters, Bonnie (Brad) Perry and Annette (Art) Carney, both of Frankfort; a half-sister, Barbara French and a half-brother, Larry Black, both of Logansport; grandchildren, Jax, Kensington, Emmett and Kallaway along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bobby Moore and a sister, Linda McIntyre.
To abide by Glen's wishes, there will be no services. Thank you to Ann and Shane for the wonderful care they have given Glen. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans organization.
