Attica - Gregory "Greg" Raymond Finney, 66, Attica, passed away in the Franciscan Health Hospital, Indianapolis, IN on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 5:34 p.m. following an illness with cancer.
Greg was born in Kokomo, IN on June 12, 1959.  He was the son Raymond Albert "Al" Finney, of Indianapolis and the late Neva Jane (Cook) Finney.  Greg was raised in Kokomo and at the age of 13 moved to Crawfordsville, where he graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1977.   Greg began working for Indiana Bell, which later became AT& T, as a lineman.  He worked for AT & T until his retirement in 2011.  Following his retirement, Greg worked part time at the Attica Car Quest auto parts store until his health declined.
Greg enjoyed spending his leisure time camping and spoiling the grandkids.  He was an avid NASCAR fan with Jeff Gordon as his favorite driver.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR, as Greg quotes "through his eyelids" (napping).
On August 16, 1980 Greg married Lynette Marie Grogan in the Dunnington Catholic Church.  Lynette just preceded him in death on February 5, 2026.
Greg leaves behind three sons, Shaun (Nicole) Finney, Valparaiso, IN; Tyler (Brook) Finney, Lafayette; and Logan Finney, Vancouver, WA; two brothers, Doug Finney, Buffalo, NY and Mike (Kim) Finney, Springfield, TN; a sister, Rhonda Finney, Austin, TX; six grandchildren, Keatyn and Caswell Hawk; Maelyn, Teagan, Pearl and Ruby Finney; his very close friends, Don & Paula Stinson, West Lafayette.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Neva Finney.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Thursday, March 26th from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.  Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 27th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Rasner officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery, Attica.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
