Hillsboro - Jack Duane Hust, 87, passed away quietly at his home in Hillsboro, with his family by his side, on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 6:30 a.m.
Jack was born in Henderson, Kentucky on January 18, 1938.  Jack was raised in Henderson, graduating from Henderson High School.  He later moved to Indianapolis where he worked as a lineman for Indianapolis Power & Light.  Following his retirement from Indianapolis Power & Light, he moved to Hillsboro to be close to his daughters and family.
Jack served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  At the time of his honorable discharge he had attained the rank of Corporal.
Jack was a member of the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene.  He enjoyed auto racing and was a Indy car and NASCAR racing fan.  He enjoyed working on cars and could build anything.  He loved his family and especially the trips to Cracker Barrel with his family.
Jack was married to Adrienne C. Monso on July 9, 1961 in Terre Haute, IN.  Adrienne preceded him in death on May 12, 2021.  He leaves behind his two daughters, Marcia Hust and Maggie (Jay) Estes, both of Hillsboro; a brother, Darrell (Betty) Hust, Bloomington, IN; four grandchildren, Logan (Adrian) Estes, Nickolas (Danielle Stroud) Rackemann, Abigail (Alex) Estes-Edwards and Henry Estes; three great-grandchildren, Hudson, Marcus and Addelyn.
As per Jack's request, cremation services were accorded him and no plans for a celebration of life service.
