Attica - Jackie "Jack" Benjamin Crowder, 55, Attica, passed away in the Franciscan Health East Hospital, Lafayette, on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 2:55 a.m.
Jack was born in Chicago, IL on February 22, 1965. He was the son of the late Forest "Frosty" Benjamin and Rita Lorraine (Roarks) Crowder. Jack was raised in West Lebanon and graduated from Seeger Memorial High School in 1983. He has lived in Attica for the past several years.
Jack formerly worked at Harrison Steel Castings Company in Attica and later worked at Flex-n-Gate in Covington.
Jack had attended the Attica Christian Church. He was a member of the Moose Lodge # 1482 of Attica. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and New England Patriot fan. He enjoyed watching sports and spending time with his brother, Marty VanLeer at the Corner Pub. He enjoyed listening to his rock music.
On August 13, 2004, Jack married Judy K. Merrill in Williamsport.
He leaves behind his wife Judy, of 16 years along with two sons, Donald Lee Shamp III of Lafayette and Travis Fettig, of Fort Wayne; three daughters, Nikki (Ty) Spivey, West Lebanon; Kebran Fettig, Crawfordsville and Donjalea "Lori" Shamp, Williamsport; an adopted brother, Marty VanLeer, Williamsport; fourteen grandchildren, Courtney, Braidyn, Jayden, Zaigne, Bianca, Tobias, Lili, Telana, Roxie, Daniel, Aria, Nevaeh, Addie & Thomas; two great-grandchildren, Tobias & Isaiahl; his newly acquired half Jack Russell & Rat Terrier pet, "Puddles". He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Friday, September 11th, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, September 12th, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Cheatwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
