Zionsville - Jackie "Jack" Dean Wurtsbaugh, 76, formerly of Attica and had been residing in Zionsville, IN, passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Zionsville on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 10:05 a.m.
Jack was born in Williamsport, Indiana on October 8, 1948.  He was the son of the late Wayne Franklin and Margaret Bernice (Tate) Wurtsbaugh.  Jack was raised in Williamsport, graduating from Williamsport High School in 1968.  He later moved to Zionsville in the 2000's.
Jack formerly worked as an electrician with the Harrison Steel Castings Company in Attica until his retirement.  After moving to Zionsville, Jack worked as a bus aide with the Zionsville School Corporation until his unexpected death.
Jack served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.  At the time of his honorable discharge he had attained the rank of Specialist 4.
Jack was a member of the American Legion Post # 79 of Zionsville.  He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 3318 of Attica; member of the Moose Lodge # 1482 of Attica.  He enjoyed the outdoors where he like to fish and play golf.  His greatest love was the time spent with family and grandchildren.
On July 17, 1982, Jack married Pamela Jean Livengood in Attica.  Pam preceded him in death on August 29, 1990.  Jack later married Juanita D. Reese in Warren County, IN on February 14, 1998.  Juanita preceded him in death on May 24, 2021.
Jack leaves behind a son, Michael (fiancée-Sierra Cummins) Wurtsbaugh, Alamo, IN; three grandchildren, Timothy, James and Aiden Wurtsbaugh; his sister, Jean Mason, Zionsville; cousins, Ed Wurtsbaugh and Randy Wurtsbaugh.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert D. Wurtsbaugh.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Tuesday, December 17th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.  Burial with military honors will be held in the VA National Cemetery, Danville, IL on Tuesday, December 17th, at 1:00 p.m. EST. with the U.S. Army Honor Guard and American Legion providing the military honors.
