Frankfort - Jacob LeRoy Simmons, 41, Frankfort, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021 as a result of a one car accident near Colfax, IN.
Jacob was born in Danville, Illinois on September 4, 1979. He was the son of LeRoy Simmons of rural Veedersburg and Ronda E. (Sandlin) Mitton of Attica. Jacob grew up in the Hillsboro area of Fountain County and attended Fountain Central High School. While in school he wrestled for the Fountain Central Mustangs. He has resided in Frankfort for the past 5 years.
Jacob was presently working for Fontana Fasteners in Frankfort.
Jacob was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. He enjoyed listening to music and watching AAU wrestling. His main focus was his love for his family and especially his children. He had a big heart and was a very giving person. He would give you the shirt off of his back.
On August 24, 2011, Jacob married Christina Leigh Hall in the Covington Park in Covington, IN.
He leaves behind his wife of nearly 10 years along with his children, Jerzi Lynn Simmons, Hillsboro; Dallas Leroy Simmons, Veedersburg and Lincoln Asher Simmons, Frankfort; two step children, Ashley Sue (Nathan) Downs, Rockville and Zane Ashton Maliki Ray, Frankfort; his father, LeRoy Simmons, rural Veedersburg and his mother, Ronda (Mike) Mitton, Attica; two brothers, Darik (Macy) Simmons, Wallace and Conner Layne Simmons, rural Veedersburg; a step granddaughter, Vivian Jean Downs; Maternal Grandparents, Ronna and Odell Sandlin; Paternal Grandparents, Delbert and the late Beverly Simmons; Aunts and Uncles, Sheila & Landus Waters, Danny (fianceé-Tiffany Jordan) Simmons, Bernie & Debbie Sandlin, Rod Sandlin, Percie Sandlin, Cody Sandlin; John Roach; Tony Sandlin; Nieces and Nephews, Kadiah Simmons, Gavin Simmons, Bryn Simmons, Sayge Simmons and Eaden Simmons; Brothers-in-law, Danny Hall and family; Jason Hall and family; Jeremy Hall and family; Jacob's Mother-in-law, Debra Baird Hall; several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Barbara Baird along with many grandparents on the maternal and paternal sides.
A celebrations of Jacob's life will be held at his grandparent Delbert's house, 2340 N Xavier Rd., Attica on Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 5-10 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made toward his funeral expenses.
