Attica - James Martin LaFoe, Sr., 82, formerly of Attica, died at the Medical Center Hospital, Odessa, TX on Thursday, March 5, 2026.
James was born in Crawfordsville on February 2, 1944.  He was the son of the late Paul Francis and Helen Virginia (Cotton) LaFoe.  He grew up in Crawfordsville and graduated from Crawfordsville High School.  After high school he joined the Army.  He worked as an electrician at Krupp-Gerlach in Danville, IL until his retirement in 2002.  He lived in Attica from 1975 until moving to Presidio, TX in 2004.  He was a former member of the Moose and Eagles in Attica.
James married Janice Elaine Anderson on May 25, 1976 in Attica.  She preceded him in death on May 15, 2002.
Survivors include six children, James Martin (Christy) LaFoe, Jr of Covington, Brian Scott LaFoe, Roxie Ann (Ronnie) Weaver of Covington, Michelle Renee Holmes of Lakeland, FL, Curtis Lee (Julie) Payne, Sr of West Lafayette and Misty (Michael) Dudgeon of Lafayette; a brother, Paul William "Dutch" LaFoe of Veedersburg; a sister, Rachel Livingston of Crawfordsville; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  He was also preceded in death by twin sons, Eric & Wayne LaFoe.
Cremation will take place with a burial of ashes to be held at a later date in Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
