Williamsport - Jason Wayne Helmerick, 46, of the Rainsville community, passed away in his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. following a lengthy illness.
Jason was born in Home Hospital, Lafayette, IN on April 30, 1976. He was the son of Rebecca "Becky" J. (Hickman) Helmerick of rural Williamsport. He was raised in Monmorenci and later lived in the Carbondale and Rainsville communities since 1992. He attended Seeger Memorial High School.
Jason formerly worked as a bricklayer for the Flynn Construction Company in Fowler until an injury to his back was a cause for his disability.
Jason enjoyed the outdoors and liked to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed shooting pool with friends. His main love was his daughters, grandchildren and family.
Jason leaves behind his mother, Becky Helmerick, rural Williamsport; three daughters, Sapphire (Roy) Roberts, Williamsport; Zoie Helmerick and Amelia Helmerick, both of Lafayette; a brother, Derik (Jossie) Helmerick, Tipton, IN; three grandchildren, Bristol, Mason and Topaz Roberts; two nephews, Zolan and Jaaron Helmerick; a niece, Zaphanie Niccum.
As per Jason's request, cremation services were accorded him and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
