Attica - Jeffery Leroy Taylor, 65, Lafayette and formerly of Attica, passed away in the I.U. Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette, on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 4:28 p.m.
Jeff was born in Danville, Illinois on April 3, 1960.  He was the son of the late Lowell Dale "Snowball" and Catherine Marie (Gordy) Taylor.  Jeff lived most of his life in Attica, where he attended Attica High School.  More recently he moved to Lafayette.
Jeff formerly worked at Harrison Steel Casting Company in Attica and retired in 2009.
Jeff was an avid sports fan where he enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs, I.U. basketball, Indianapolis Colts.  He was also a big NASCAR fan with Jeff Gordon as his favorite driver.  Most of all he enjoyed hanging with his family.
Jeff was formerly married to Dianna Stout.
Jeff leaves behind two daughters, Tiffany (Christopher) Kirby, Attica and Tasha (Jerrick) Kirby, Lafayette; three sons, Eric Taylor, Attica; Jeffery Taylor Jr., Lafayette and Gregory Taylor, Linden, IN; three brothers, Ron (Karen) Gordy, Riverside, MO; Terry (Sue) Taylor, Pacific, MO and Mark (Marilyn) Taylor, Lafayette; five sisters, Luana (Joe) Hanthorn, Attica; Christine Oaks, Attica; Brenda (Robert) Stonebraker, Mellott; Diana (Ernie) Shepard, Attica and Teresa Clevenger, Portland Arch; five grandchildren, Skyler Smith, Chloe Taylor, Carson Taylor, Jalynn Kirby and Brayden Kirby.  He was preceded in death by an older brother, Michael Taylor and an infant brother, Gregory Taylor.
Friends may gather at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Saturday, June 7th, from 12:00 p.m. until the memorial service time at 2:00 p.m. with his brother-in-law, Robert Stonebraker officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
