Attica - Jenner Steven Blankenship, 68, Attica, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. following his failing health with cancer.
Jenner was born in Lafayette, Indiana on April 5, 1955.  He was the son of the late Robert Reed and Hope Evon (Sundt) Blankenship.  He was a life resident of Attica, graduating from Attica High School in 1973.
Jenner was a member of the Painters Union and did dry wall finishing with local contractors in the area.  He was a member of the Moose Lodge # 1482.  Jenner was a free spirit and enjoyed listening to his rock music.  He adored his family and cherished the time spent with them and his friends.
Jenner was formerly married to Debra Thompson.
Jenner leaves behind two children, Amber Ray, Attica and Travis (Courtney) Blankenship, Attica; seven grandchildren, Eli (companion-Nicky Jones) Ray, Malachi Ray, Moses Ray, Josiah Blankenship, Emma Blankenship, Noah Blankenship and Luke Blankenship; his companion, Peg Anderson, Attica; two sisters, Jill Hall and Joy Blankenship, both of Attica.  Besides his parents, Jenner was preceded in death by a brother, Jason Blankenship; a brother-in-law, George Hall; a niece, Heather Brown and a nephew, Jacob Vann.
A celebration of Jenner's life will be held at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Saturday, January 13th, at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Dan Jordan officiating.  A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 13th from 3:00 p.m. until his celebration of life service at 5:00 p.m.
