Williamsport - Jerry Lee High, 74, Williamsport, passed away quietly at the home of his son, Michael, in Williamsport, on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 5:20 p.m., following an illness with pancreatic cancer.
Jerry was born in Williamsport, Indiana on September 13, 1950.  He was the son of the late Phillip Howard and Janice Irene (Hockensmith) High Sr.  He was a life resident of Warren County, graduating from Williamsport High School in 1968, where he played basketball for the Bingy Bombers.  He attended Indiana State University for one year and then began working for ALCOA in Lafayette as a saw operator.  He worked with ALCOA for 30 years, retiring in 2002.
Jerry served in the Indiana National Guard and was a member of the American Legion Post # 52 in Attica.  He was active in the Warren County community by serving as an Assistant Boy Scout Leader and coached Little League for 30 years.  After his retirement from ALCOA he served as a substitute teacher for Seeger, Pine Village and Williamsport schools.  When he had free time you could find him fishing at his favorite fishing hole.  But most of all, Jerry loved spending time with his sons and adored his grandchildren.  He loved to watch the grandchildren play sports and grow up.
On September 1, 1978, Jerry married Carolyn J. Bazan in Crown Point, IN.  Sadly, Carolyn preceded Jerry in death on November 25, 2020.
Jerry leaves behind two sons, Michael T. (Kimberly) High, Williamsport; Philip E. High, rural Pine Village; a brother, Phillip (Shirley) High, Jr., Williamsport and a sister, Shelly Fenters, Lafayette; a grandson, Hudson C. High, Weeki Wachee, FL; a granddaughter, Allison High, Indianapolis; two step grandchildren, Jordan (Jason) Rose, Ft. Riley, KS; Sara M. Neary, Lancaster, PA; three step great-grandchildren,  Declan Rose, Elowyn Rose and Rowan Rose, all of Ft. Riley, KS.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Friends may gather at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Saturday, September 20th from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Williamsport Little League and Softball League or to the Williamsport Boy Scouts.
