Joe Lloyd Wilson, age 78, of Attica, passed away at 2:10 a.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital in Williamsport. Joe's health had been declining for a few months prior to his passing. He was surrounded with love when he went to be with the Lord. He was proceeded in death by his parents; Louie and Leona Wilson, two children; David Wilson and Angela Thacker, and brothers; Grady, Wayne, Bill, Boonie, and Bo Wilson. Survivors: wife; Loretta Wilson of Cleveland, TN. and partner of 20 plus years;  Linda Searcy of Attica, Children; Rebecca (Chris) Andrews of TN, Keisha Stapleton of Tab, IN, and Iris (Eric) Bradford of Michigan City, IN, two sisters; Martha (Jesse) Hudgins of TN and Margaret Price of AL.  Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Joe can be described as one of a kind!  His love for music is what most would think of when they think of him. From being in a band years ago to playing music at Pine Creek, he loved sharing his talent.  Family gatherings always consisted of bringing out his banjo and guitars and lots of singing. He passed on his love of music to his children and grandchildren. He also loved to travel. Whether it was a cruise, a trip to Tennessee or Alabama, or a drive to Tab on Sundays, he just  loved going places.  He was a very crafty person and spent time woodworking and making all kinds of things.   All of his grandchildren and some great grandchildren were blessed with rocking chairs that he has made for them.   Golf was another big interest for him. After retiring from Ford Joe worked at various golf courses in the area.   He had accumulated many "lost" golf balls over the years. It is not uncommon to still find golf balls at his old property in Tab! Joe loved his family and he was very loved as well. He was very much a private man and didn't want anyone to make a big fuss about him so his request was to be cremated and his ashes to be buried with his two children that had previously passed. The burial of ashes will take place on Friday, April 28th at the Riverside Cemetery, Attica, at 2:00pm.  There will also be a celebration of life at a later date. The family would also like to thank all that were involved in his care during the last few months that he had struggled with his health.
