Stone Bluff - John William Beasley, 76, Stone Bluff, passed away in the Lane House, Crawfordsville, on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 9:10 a.m.
John was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on February 5, 1948. He was the son of the late Charles William and Marie M. (Morgan) Beasley. John was a life resident of the Stone Bluff community and for the past two years resided at the Lane House in Crawfordsville.
John graduated from Attica High School 1966. Following graduation, John worked at the Stone Bluff elevator and farmed in Van Buren township. After his retirement from farming, John worked for the Newtown Farm Service.
John was a member of the Salem Methodist Church. He enjoyed attending antique tractor shows and playing cards with friends. He was a member of the Young Farmers Group. His greatest passion was being on the farm and taking care of his cattle.
On December 13, 1969, John married Vickie J. Dewlen in the Salem Church near Stone Bluff.
John leaves behind his wife, Vickie of nearly 55 years along with two daughters, Ginger (Keith) White, Veedersburg and Amy (Brad) Cole, Attica; two granddaughters, Emma and Molly Cole; a brother, Charles Edward "Ed" Beasley, Veedersburg. John was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hannah White.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Tuesday, September 24th from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Tom Dewlen officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
