Lebanon - John Edward Lucas, 61, of Lebanon and formerly of Attica and Warren County, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Lebanon, on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 11:30 a.m.
John was born in Lafayette, Indiana on July 15, 1959. He was the son of the late Whitey Lucas and Wilma (Cox) Lucas Bricker. John grew up in Warren County and attended Seeger Memorial High School. He later moved to Attica and for the past three years has resided in Lebanon.
John formerly worked as a forklift operator at Harrison Steel Castings Company in Attica and later worked at Flexel in Covington. As far as side jobs, he enjoyed working as a mechanic and doing electrical wiring.
He had served in the Indiana National Guard for 12 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and like to fishing, go mushrooming, hunting and working on cars.
He was first married to Dollie A. Ward and later to Tina Lucas.
He leaves behind three daughters, Katrina Poole, Indianapolis; Rachel (Andy) Foust, Attica and Cynthia Lucas, Lafayette; a step son, Tyler (Elizabeth) Lucas, Attica; three sisters, Cindy Immel, Laura Beth Wilson and Leslie Turner, all of Indianapolis; five granddaughters, two grandsons, four great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Robert Lucas.
John preferred direct cremation with no services.
