Crawfordsville - Joseph "Joe" Dean Clodfelter, 38, Crawfordsville, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 2:30 p.m.
Joe, as he was called by family and friends, was born in Home Hospital, Lafayette, Indiana on June 1, 1985.  He is the son of Ross Edward Clodfelter, of Hillsboro and Kathryn Ann (Mathis) Barnes, Landis, NC.  He was raised in Hillsboro, graduating from Fountain County High School in 2004.  He later moved out to North Carolina and for the past four years has resided in Crawfordsville.
Joe was presently working at Systems, Inc. in Crawfordsville as a fabrication welder.
Joe enjoyed the outdoors where he liked to hunt and fish.  He enjoyed reading and studying his Bible and served as a mentor at the Trinity Life Missions.  He had been attending The Ingathering Trinity Church in Linden and the Freedom Baptist Church in Crawfordsville.  He loved the Lord and enjoyed witnessing to friends and strangers whom he met.
Joe leaves behind his father, Ross (Alma) Clodfelter, Hillsboro and his mother, Kathryn (Johnny) Barnes, Landis, NC; his eight siblings, Mark (Angela) Clodfelter, China Grove, NC; Eric (Tina) Clodfelter, Crawfordsville; Christopher Clodfelter, Monroe, NC; Adam Clodfelter, Landis, NC; April (Amber) Clodfelter, Crawfordsville; DeWayne (fiancée-Jean Marie) Clodfelter, Lebanon; Amanda Crane, Lafayette and Tawnya Purple, Crawfordsville; several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Thelma Mathis.
Friends may call at the Sterling Christian Church, 701 S. Sterling Avenue, Veedersburg on Saturday, January 20th, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastors Steve Whicker and Kip Fairfield officiating.  Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro.  Memorial contributions are preferred to the Trinity Life Missions, 1101 Whitlock Avenue, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.
