Indianapolis - Joseph "Joey" Ryan Etnier, 28, passed away unexpectedly and went to be with his Lord on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at his residence.
Joey was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on March 21, 1995, to Melissa Ann (Moore) Etnier and Dennis J. Etnier. Joey was raised in Carmel, graduating from Carmel High School in 2013 and received his BS Degree in Accounting from Ball State University.  He worked as a Site Accountant for PepsiCo in the Indianapolis  area. He was a dreamer who had big and bold aspirations for life.
On top of his love of numbers, Joey also enjoyed shooting hoops, the Chicago Cubs, and playing video games. He was a social young man that was good at building relationships with everyone that met him. He had a charm and exuberance that immediately made you feel like you had been friends for life. He enjoyed discussing life, faith, sports, and anything else you cared to talk about.
Joey was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Donald and Sandra Moore. He is survived by his mother, Melissa, of Zionsvile; his father, Dennis, of Collierville, TN;  his two brothers John (and wife Kirsten) Etnier of Muncie and James (and fiancée Laura) Etnier of Westfield; his sister Grace (and fiancé Merrick) Etnier of Greenwood;  and his two nephews Jonah and Isaiah Etnier. We all miss him very much!
A graveside Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 8th, at 1:00 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Attica, Indiana with Pastor Brenda McIntosh officiating.
